Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to hold a meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump in the second half of September, according to a report from Chinese financial news outlet 同花顺.
The report, published on Tuesday, did not provide additional specifics about the planned talks, including a precise date, location, or agenda. It only indicated that the meeting is anticipated to take place during the mid-to-late September window.
同花顺’s brief dispatch offers no further context on how the meeting was arranged or what topics might be discussed. The report also does not clarify whether the meeting would occur in the United States or elsewhere.
This potential encounter comes amid ongoing international attention on the war in Ukraine and diplomatic efforts to address the conflict. Zelensky has frequently engaged with Western leaders to secure military and financial support for Kyiv, while Trump has previously stated he could quickly end the war if re-elected, though he has not detailed a specific plan.
The report from 同花顺 is short on detail, and no official confirmation from either Zelensky’s office or Trump’s team has been cited. As such, the timing and scope of the meeting remain subject to change.
Observers will be watching for any official announcements from Ukrainian or U.S. sources in the coming weeks to confirm the meeting and clarify its purpose.
